Showboat Atlantic City Set to Undergo $50 Million Renovation Project
The $50 million Showboat Atlantic City renovation project is about to enter its final phase. 800 newly renovated rooms at the Showboat Hotel will be outfitted with contemporary coastal themes and innovative smartphone key lock technology for visitors.
This comes from the press release Showboat made on January 25. It is anticipated that renovation on the rooms, suites, and lobby will be completed this summer, in time for the launch of the $100 million Island Waterpark.
The newest designs for the lobby and other areas are going to be inspired by Atlantic City’s best feature, the beach, according to Bart Blatstein, CEO of Tower Investments Inc. and owner of the Showboat. The Showboat’s room inventory will undergo a thorough revamp as part of the hotel upgrades.
The conversion of the Showboat into a resort for the whole family is Blatstein’s main goal.
According to Blatstein, Showboat is the only truly family-friendly resort in AC, and these expenditures show the business’s dedication to continually improving the experiences of its visitors. The updated accommodations and other improvements to the site will guarantee that guests are going to enjoy the exceptional entertainment options the business has to offer.
The Island Waterpark is the focal point of the renovation of the site. And it’s difficult to miss.
The 103,000-square-foot attraction is now being built on the NJ Avenue beach block which is close to the hotel. It will include a retractable roof, swimming pools, water slides, a zipline, and a lazy river.
Blatstein cited the intended opening date as somewhere close to Memorial Day 2023.
