The Friday Fifteen Hosted at Borgata in Atlantic City, $250,000 Guaranteed
Major poker tournaments are returning to Atlantic City thanks to the Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa, including some major events scheduled to begin in November. Players are anticipating the resumption of large buy-in events after a prolonged dry spell in the big tournament series.
Three casinos in the state of New Jersey provide live poker games. All three poker rooms are in Atlantic City. Only Borgata hosts tournaments, although the following casinos offer cash games around-the-clock as well:
- 52 tables at Borgata;
- 28 tables at Harrah’s Casino;
- 10 tables at Tropicana New York City.
A major event was revealed by Borgata for November. The Friday Fifteen is a two-day event series that will take place on November 18. The entry fee for the competition is $1,500, and there will be a $250,000 guaranteed prize pool.
Borgata is providing live qualifying events before the competition if $1,500 is a touch too much for one’s bankroll. The MGM Resorts facility will have satellite competitions from November 15 to 17 that will result in direct buy-ins for the event. The buy-in for satellites ranges from $100 to $400.
The Survivor Series at Borgata will begin following the Friday Fifteen competition. The competitions are going to take place from November 21 to 25. There are seven separate competitions in the survivor series.
