Bally’s NJ Online Casino Won’t Be Impacted by the Closure of the Sports Betting Operations
Online casinos in NJ won’t be impacted by Bally’s Corporation’s temporary closure of its sportsbook. While Bally’s Corp. restarts its digital sportsbooks in other states, the Bally Online Casino in NJ will continue to be fully functional.
Users were urged by the company to withdraw their money on June 23. Bally’s will shut down all of its sports betting accounts on that day and start preparing for a later this year relaunch of its app.
Bally’s discontinues sports betting, although Bally’s Online Casino New Jersey will continue to operate, according to a business press statement. Bally Bet, the company’s online sportsbook, is undertaking a system-wide makeover that will improve customer experience and streamline operations. The multi-year agreements with White Hat Gaming and Kambi Group plc, both of which were revealed in March, are what led to the merger.
Despite being live in several states, including NY, Bally Bet is not available in NJ. Bally Bet held 0.16% of the market’s monthly handle in May in NY, one of the few states that separate out individual operator statistics.
In the Garden State, Bally’s Online Casino offering has been growing in popularity. The income from Bally’s Online Casino recorded by the state’s casino license holder has increased by over 193% during the first five months of 2023, according to state gaming data.
