TwinSpires Sports and Casino Closes Doors in New Jersey

TwinSpires have announced they are closing down their online sports and iGaming operations in New Jersey to bring about a renewed focus on their horse racing offering within the state.

The casino stopped accepting sports wagers on June 10, but the site will remain operational until July 11, 2022, to allow players to withdraw any remaining funds from the operator.

Any open wagers will continue to settle, and any bets that settle after the website closes down will be paid out via check in the mail, so keep your address updated if this could affect you.

This may also be the last opportunity for those with locked accounts holding funds to contact the support team on the website in order to appeal a suspension.

In February, the company stated they are committed to their ADW horse racing platform and ‘remain absolutely excited and committed to TwinSpires horse racing.’

About TwinSpires Casino

TwinSpires launched in partnership with Golden Nugget Hotel Casino & Marina in 2021, offering both iGaming services and a sportsbook. Not long after launch, however, the company expressed a desire to focus more on its horse racing products and drop off the online casinos NJ list, and news of the casino’s closure began circulating in February 2022.
